If I had a second boat I would buy another

Inexpensive, easy to install, works well. If this happens prematurely I will update the review, but as long as this review has 5 stars you can rest assured that it is still going from the date I posted it.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Outdoor

Not very loud. Best in Rowing

If you're really trying to signal someone in your way, chances are they won't hear that horn because of their own engine. It mounts and works well, but it's not very loud for a horn intended to be mounted under a boat's dashboard.

Pros
  • Very Impressive
Cons
  • Null

Works as advertised!

With a bit of fiddling I managed to do it. The hole spacing in the FIAM grid on the boat was about 4 1/16 inches. Everything works again! Remember, if the Coast Guard catches you, the first thing they will do is check your horn. is working.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Repair

The perfect horn for a small boat going through the hull.

I don't know what "thickness" means in relation to the boat horn, but it took me only five minutes to replace the factory horn through the hull (on the OMC Sunbird 17's bow driver) with this model, and it works great. Recently, it even passed a random computer graphics test for loudness.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Some complications

Pretty much a direct replacement for the stock horn

This horn was a direct replacement for my factory boat horn. I couldn't remove the old mount from the old horn body so I just reused it by removing the new mount and putting the new horn on top of the old mount. So far the price-performance ratio is great.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Low repairability

Perfect replacement, identical to the original.

Great replacement for my old original boat horn. The new one came with a bracket but I didn't use it, just removed the nut and washer and then installed it on the old bracket which is still on my boat. I connected two wires and everything worked loud and clear. Great price and reliable product. I installed it on a 1996 Sunbird fiberglass boat.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Updates available

Works well and fits but not with the bracket provided

Horn no longer works on a 1997 Sea-Ray 190 Signature. Although the original horn and its replacement were referred to as the "A-23", they were not plug and play, but worked flawlessly. After we found out that the new bracket just wouldn't work (the holes were nearly 1 inch closer together than the holes in the body and grille), we removed the old bracket and used it. Works well. Loud but not too loud. .

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • old

No stainless steel! Don't buy it if you use it in salt water.

I bought this horn specifically because it stated the materials were stainless steel. I will be using my boat in salt water and expect it to be 300 series stainless steel It was painted black on arrival and made from regular mild steel. Look at the picture with a magnet attached proving it's mild steel and not stainless steel. The product information was wrong and tricked me into making this purchase.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Not all will fit
