I don't know why people say there is no splitter in this kit. The kit I bought had a Y splitter that came out of the dimmer knob assembly. I replaced the dimmer with a remote control and it worked fine. The only negative thing I have to say is that the screws for attaching the clips are very cheap and broke when they were inserted into the oak cabinet. These lights were very easy to install, had a very wide adjustment range and came with the necessary cables for different applications. It took me less than an hour to install two sets in the kitchen. The only downside I see is that there are no real instructions. So if you are not familiar with such connections, it can be confusing.
