Built-in lighting for cot houses.

As my 2 boys had to share a room they needed separate rooms. So I built them some "house beds". I liked that they only get 12 volts on the switch and headlight. I installed the 120v connections behind a secure panel and routed an on/off switch to the appropriate headboard areas. I installed 2 lamps as reading lights in the ceiling and 2 in their headboards/"treasure chests" which are 2 nifty little toy boxes in the headboards of their beds. Rubbish for smart home installation

rubbish for my purposes. I already have puck shaped LEDs and used them as a spare. I use them in conjunction with several smart devices to make them glow under certain conditions. So if you plan on using them like I do, use a smart switch to turn them on, it won't work. Once you use the controller to turn it on, assume you'll never use the remote again and be able to turn it on and off with the Smart Switch.
