It is portable and needs no battery, it is easy to learn and use even for new user. Automatic temperature compensation function minimizes the effect of the temperature on testing result. Ideal for testing and monitoring the sugar content in brewing or other food indurstry. Includes: a firm plastic case, a refractometer ,a cleaning cloth, a screw driver, an operating instructions, some pipettes. Get two results in one testing: the refractometer has the most common two scales for sugar content: 0-32% brix and corresponding 1.000-1.130 specific gravity.

Easy to read - Refractometer

I'm glad I don't have to do the conversion to gravitational units when using this device. It also seems very accurate. I've used a hydrometer, and using the same recipes, the original gravity reading goes beyond a few 10.01.

Handy tool! for Refractometer

We are currently using this refractometer to measure the sugar content of maple sap. This helped us to calculate the expected production quantities. We look forward to using it to test sugar content in cider and beer production.

Seems to work well

Seems to work as advertised, I had trouble reading values between whole numbers and had to shine a flashlight on them at night to see the readings, lights in the house were not bright enough. We'll see how it works in the future.
