Correct measurement is key

There are several filters with similar dimensions but not the exact size of the filter you are replacing. You will need to measure the old filter to within 1/8 inch to get the correct fit. I've read several complaints that the filters don't fit. The point is to measure the filter you are replacing.

IDENTICAL to the OEM filters in my Frigidaire PLMV169 Microwave/Cooker Hood

The name says it all. You'll be surprised how much suction power your microwave/cooker hood loses when yours gets dirty. It really will work again. Top $10+ - I've spent some time with this. MUCH easier than soaking the originals in an easy-to-remove or other nasty alkaline-based oven cleaner.

Nothing special about small appliance parts and accessories

As far as I can tell there is nothing special about them. Product images with low exposure/dark background give the impression that there are no significant gaps in the grid. Like any other filter of its kind, the "12-ply" weave doesn't seem to make a noticeable difference in minimizing filtration voids or trapping grease. They work similar to any other grease filter. said - if the size fits and the price is acceptable, then it is quite suitable for filters of this type.
