THIS IS NOT AUTHENTIC?!

Looks suspicious to me. Why the hell are they wasting their energy shaving off this supposedly genuine "Aisin" product? I asked my mechanic friend and he said "maybe because it's not a real Aisin". Quite disappointed, I had been working on my Lexus earlier in the day with the intake and V-belt done to install that water pump but now I'm a little doubtful. I NEED ANSWERS! But I could just bite the bullet and install it since it's mechanical and not electrical.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • No performance

Item as described and delivered within the timeframe indicated. After watching a few videos on YouTube I had no problem installing this water pump in my 2008 Lexus GS 350. The job took about 2.5 hours and cost me less than $200 since I also replaced the thermostat and bought a few necessary tools. I've saved a lot of money since the dealer called me for $800 and I had the car for a few days to get it done. Would definitely buy from this seller again.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Useless features

OE quality for is250

We were afraid that Toyota and Asian nameplates would be removed. I have one that just has the Toyota tag removed which makes more sense. Compared to the image of the OEM part, the differences are in the design of the pulley attachment and the breather part. It can only be new developments. I spent a whole day replacing the water pump, thermostat and radiator cap. Compared to the old pump, I found both well made. I have driven over 400 miles with the new pump since the check. No leakage. noโ€ฆ

Looks real in engine cooling and air conditioning system

I'm only writing a review because others have wondered if this is a genuine OEM product. I recently bought a JDM engine as a replacement after installing a rod in my engine. Apparently the water pump on the new JDM engine was replaced at some point. The water pump on the engine is marked AISIN and has a Toyota on it, this is polished. It also has a pulley mount, just like this listing. My original motor that I'm replacing doesn't have a pulley mount, so they must have updated the design at some

Works great and fits my 2007 Lexus is250 rwd

OEM without intermediaries. The listed price is $250 for the part, which is a much cheaper price. Works and fits my Lexus is250 2007 rwd perfectly. I haven't had any problems so far and it's been a week or so. 2 liters of coolant are required for the repair. I also replaced the serpentine belt, thermostat, and upper and lower radiator hoses during this install. These parts aren't that expensive to replace, and if you've already taken everything apart, you can swap these parts out so you don'tโ€ฆ

DIY, very easy to use Replacement parts

Replaced this weekend myself and the part fits great and the rattling bearing noise is gone. The Toyota is scratched but it's still an OEM part. Complete with gasket and seals that also need to be replaced. Don't go to a dealer to do this if you're mechanically inclined. I was able to replace it myself and saved about $600. I used this DIY on a Club Lexus: http://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-2nd-gen-2006-2013/725467-diy-how-to-replace-the-water-pump-on- the - is-250-a.html I also replaced theโ€ฆ

OEM replacement for IS350

The original water pump on my 2007 IS350 started to rattle. 110,000km driven. The plan was to take it to the shop as a replacement until I heard the job would cost close to $1000. Ordered this part, DIY it and replaced it with the help of info and DIY video. I can't thank those meticulous daredevils who documented the steps so well. AISIN is the OEM mark used by Lexus. This item fits perfectly. Some reviewers point out that it is not a real AISIN because of the truncated stamp. LIE. What theyโ€ฆ

DIY - What I can do, you can too.

When my 2006 IS250 had 90,000 miles my water pump started whining. I took my car to my local Lexus dealer for an independent service and the dealer told me my pump was good to go. He listed $980 to just replace the water pump. The dealer also offered to replace the serpentine belt for an additional $200, although my belt looked fine. I thought $1200 was a bit much so I told the dealer I'd like to think about it, but I really wanted to check and see how much other mechanics were charging. Iโ€ฆ
