As a physics teacher, I often complain about static electricity blocking. Laboratories are often finicky, especially in warm, humid weather. Cork balls are AWESOME! They transfer the charge from the friction rods very well and hold that charge for a long time. These balls are actually effective for cork ball experiments that use two balls repelling each other. BUT. The price is outrageous. You can easily get a pack of 60 cork balloons for $6 at 10 cents each. That's almost $2 each!

Wasn't expecting much for the price but didn't expect half of them to break would when they went there. The bag was well protected in transit so they were so small that when I opened the bag the "balls" (more like rectangles) fell apart. I had 3 serviceable ones and they were all I needed so I lived with them for the price but will look elsewhere when buying my next set. Delivery was quick and the packaging was well protected.
