Until last week I would have given it 4 or 5 stars.

I ordered in January 2021 and worked quite well until the week of May 17 and I was satisfied. But then it didn't work. Now 4 months after purchase I'm stuck with a paperweight. I verified it doesn't work with two separate amps working. So now I need a new solution.

Cons
  • There are doubts

Doesn't support AptX or Aptx HD

Neither AptX nor Aptx HD work on my device. The second device will NOT be paired if the first device is paired and unpaired. Customer service is useless, they just send screenshots of their working receiver as proof mine should work too, but it doesn't. hands off it! Update: Now, after about six months, Bluetooth doesn't connect at all. This is the end.

brick. only used once or twice.

This item was purchased to add a BT connection to your sound system. It worked well when I used it for the first time after receiving it. "This sound system has not been used in the last 7 months therefore Aksonic has not been used either as it was not connected to the network. tried to use it today (December 30th) and it seems to be blocked. (Turns on and off but doesn't go into pairing mode and the "hard reset" and forced pairing steps in the manual don't do anything - confirmed after 12…

Exceptional quality - wireless and streaming audio

Great features at this price. Couldn't find another bluetooth receiver with aptX and BT version 5.0 for less than $100. In addition, the device is equipped with a proven TI Burr Brown DAC. Range and signal integrity are much better than other Bluetooth connections I've used, including A/V receivers, car stereos, and inexpensive standalone devices. In testing this device, I was able to sustain signal communication through 2 standard design interior walls 65 feet apart without any drop or…

The sound quality is amazing

I had a less expensive basic Bluetooth receiver on my home stereo before it became commonplace. However, it is a much better sound. I knew right away this was going to be a great purchase. CD quality sound or better. Setup was so easy. I connected the device to my old Sansui system via cinch sockets. The power cord is a micro USB which I used for my phone (now it's USB-C). It turned on and immediately went into detection mode. I turned on my laptop and just connected it to the adapter. I went…

AKSONIC BRX01 is a very good Bluetooth audio receiver

Before purchasing the AKSONIC BRX01, I did a little research and identified two key technologies that are important for a good Bluetooth audio receiver. Bluetooth 5.0 and APTX HD. Also, my financial threshold was around $100. First I found Audioengine B1 ($189, too expensive) and BluDento BLT HD ($119). Audioengine and BluDento have almost identical specs, so I went with the cheaper BluDento. Unfortunately, shipping from China takes about 8 weeks (Revain Prime and eBay). So I researched further

Excellent codec implementation SBC - sounds great

SBC is a universal codec (compression/decompression) algorithm that all Bluetooth audio devices must support. It sometimes gets a bad rap for its mediocre sound quality, but it's not inherently a bad codec. If implemented correctly with sound quality in mind, it can sound very good, on par with high quality 320kbps MP3 files. This fidelity is more than enough for almost everyone. The reason SBC sometimes gets a bad rap is because some manufacturers of cheap BT headphones and BT receivers cut…

Great little bluetooth audio receiver

I replaced a cheaper previous generation bluetooth receiver with this one. I noticed two shortcomings with my older receiver: latency (sound delay) and slight music distortion at very large volume ranges between tones and tones. First, performance: sound in music videos, where I played the sound through my stereo and viewed the image on my iPad. It was clearly a noticeable improvement. (2) There is a subtle but important improvement in sound resolution as the ability to distinguish very soft…
