Used for "water-saving " reverse osmosis system

I have already set up a reverse osmosis filter and a deionization filter for a marine aquarium to make salt water for water changes. A single reverse osmosis filter uses a lot of water, around 2-3 times the amount of purified water it produces. I took the effluent stream, removed the flow restrictor and routed the effluent to the second inlet of the reverse osmosis membrane. Very poor performance

Waste of money. My well water coming out of my water softener is about 1200 TDS, coming out of this "Membrane Solutions" membrane is about 800 TDS, wtf. I couldn't believe my eyes, my TDS meter must be broken. I ordered a new one from Revain. The same testimony. I checked the inlet pressure (4 bar, good), I checked the permeate to effluent ratio (1 to 5, good) I checked the TDS of the permeate coming straight out of the membrane housing and letting it flow freely, same high read. Good filter at a good price

Albert Filter accidentally sent me an extra membrane for free so I find this a stimulating review. However, it's been about 6 months since I installed everything, so I've had plenty of time to watch and play around with the production. Production won't be around 400 gallons per day at normal pressure. I have 1 connected and can produce about 110 gold per day; 2 connected in parallel and doubled. I don't need that much production. Summary: Too bad. It's garbage. Buy a Dow Filmtec cone or any other quality cone, don't waste your time and money like I did. Special Shout: Hey Alberts Filter, thanks for the headache and bad taste of impure water! Alas: This diaphragm does NOT come with a check valve. Almost Good!: Kitchen & Bath Supplies

I hooked this up to an existing 50gpd Block 5 and wanted to improve it a bit. I replaced my existing reverse osmosis membrane and housing with these and installed all the new filters while I was at it. Here are my results. My system is fine because water is flowing through the system. 1 micron sediment filter. 5 micron carbon block. I originally gave this DIY reverse osmosis filter kit and pressure tank one star because 99% of the water went down the drain (brine) and only drips came out of my reverse osmosis faucet .
