My son wanted a mint green tie for his first communion. We looked everywhere and found this. I was worried it wouldn't arrive on time, wouldn't fit around his head and might get stuck. None of that happened. It arrived promptly, was in his favorite color and matched his suit and shirt well, sat over his head and had a nice zipper. He looked very cool and received a number of complaints about his choice.

All I can say is that it absolutely lives up to the expectations of a 9 year old boy who wears it to church or elsewhere at least once a week or so. formal family gatherings that we have. I bought this Alizeal Boys plain burgundy tie with a pre-knotted zipper for my son to wear to church and other special occasions. He is 10 years old but tall for his age. It just fits well. It opens wide enough to slip easily over your head and the length is just right for him. I don't think it will fit him next year, it's kinda just at this length, if he grows at all he'll fall short.
