🏺 AMACO 45047J High-Fire Moist Stoneware Clay - 38 White: Exceptional Quality and Versatility Review

Affordable, fast shipping and good throwing body. However, when cleaning, I found a lot of heavy sediment at the bottom of the water bucket and worried about contamination in the clay. After firing at two parts fabricated on the wheel, my fears were confirmed. I have included a photo of my cookie made with only this clay fired on cone 04 at this point showing the pits were fired impurities. A good frosting will fill in these areas so I'm not worried but this product needs a good review.

I bought this clay because I needed more clay for my college pottery class. It arrived quickly and was a good price. I've bought this clay several times, but only because I didn't know any better. yellow clay from Amako. This white is BEAUTIFUL. Great to throw. Shows frosting. i sincerely love it but it's designed to shoot way past the 5-6 cone. The optimal taper is 10.
