I used it to cut grooves. He did a great job with knotty white oak using a plunge router and a 1/2" thick MDF template. I started the groove with a template, then since the oak was thick I removed the template and ran the stock over the ones before cut section. After that I leveled the corners with a chisel. Amana cutters are well designed and well balanced. They work well in small (1HP) routers due to the good polish. Even large ones like these quickly remove large amounts of material, have low friction and low buildup (thus generating less heat and noise).
