My well water contains silt, and coil and sheet filters with a lower micron rating than this filter usually get me six to eight weeks away. I had this filter made in two weeks. It worked fine and I had no problems with it. It just didn't last long for me, and I figured I could get through at least four weeks. I would only recommend this filter if it gets really clean water. Not bad overall, just make sure you're using it in the right use case.

Aside from the little label wrapped around the insert, this filter looks just like my regular Culligan RFC BBSA filter. Interestingly, at the time of writing this Revain filter costs $30.32 while the Culligan is only $25.37. Since the filters themselves are identical, Culligan is better now. This is excellent value for money. High quality filter and great replacement for OEM. It can also be used in most 10 inch canisters that are large enough in diameter. The 25 micron rating removes larger sediment particles while maintaining a good flow rate through the filter. In comparison, a good drinking water filter typically uses 1 to 0.5 micron sediment filters, but has nowhere near that flow rate.
