Defective item. Threads are loose, poorly designed, poorly sewn, threads loosen and snap, holes form in the product and it doesn't last. I can't find a quality mattress pad anywhere. shame about amazon.

In just a few weeks the mattress topper started to pill all over and the stitching was unraveling. I wonder if there was an error. Why only 3% of buyers give this 1 star.

Excellent quality. I've had cheap ones whose pages looked like they were made out of tissue paper and torn. Not this one. This is a high quality rubber band that looks like it will last for years. The top is padded and very comfortable.

Great price and seemingly good quality. I didn't see any sticking out threads. Soft to the touch. It really holds everything together (I have a 3" male foam attachment on an inexpensive internal spring). The best part is, as you can see in the picture, the mattress topper is so deep that you can walk around everything including my spring and frame. This is exactly what I wanted!

I have a solid mattress and was not looking for a no-frills mattress cover. It meets all requirements. It's well made and very soft, but don't overthink it. It makes my mattress a little warmer but I think it's acceptable. Another thing I love about this topper is that it has fabric on both sides. Some toppers use a cheap paper covering on the bottom that tears easily but looks like it will stand the test of time.

I bought two of these great value mattress covers for my daughters. One was fine. In the other, opened, something dark and hard was found, sewn into the pillow. When cutting, it turned out that there was some kind of dirty fibrous mass inside. Rough. We'll send it back for a refund. Otherwise the mattress topper would have been good for the price. Now I see that another reviewer had a similar problem. I will not order the same product again.
