not 100% fuel economy

I bought these for my Roto Pax fuel tank as the OE tank broke. They work but soften and expand to twice their size exposed to fuel. Then you have to be very careful to seal it or just put another one on.

Good replacement parts

They match the size of the original gasket on the nose of my red plastic gas bottles. The gas seems to inevitably soften the seals over time so it was a good decision to buy a few and have them ready to use the next time the seal wears out.

  • Very impressive

Can't handle petrol

Bought a pack of 6. I only needed one but as I had more I decided to replace the seals on 3 other gas bottles at the same time. Within 1 month all 4 seals started to leak. Upon examination, each lump became soft and "soft" (best I can describe). It looks like the material the gasket was made of was softened by gasoline. Now I have 4 leaking gas bottles instead of 1. I regret breaking 3 old seals. Do not buy!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some bugs

Scepter Gas Cylinder Gasket

I have several 2 year old (5 gallon) gas cylinders that I bought from Wal-Mart that I use for emergency gas storage in the generator shed. I change the gas every 6 months to keep it fresh. During the last corner I noticed that all the seals were worn out. It was the perfect replacement for Zepter gas cartridges. Now that I know that gasoline will corrode these seals I added some silicone grease to them in hopes that it would extend their life.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Update Availability

Not very solvent resistant

I bought these gaskets for use on kerosene can necks and lid inserts. The fit is excellent, however they are almost unusable because. The gasket absorbs the kerosene, swells, and the rubber becomes _very_ sloppy, to the point where the gasket loosens, if at all, by rubbing on the threads when the spout or liner is inserted into the cap. Over time they regain their integrity as the kerosene evaporates, but in everyday use they are almost always wet with the contents of the canister.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Socket required

It does not work! the best tools and equipment

I have a Kolpin gas bottle for my ATV that is leaking! The product description said it would work if the sizes matched. Size matched the description but it didn't work. I tried it on other gas cylinders I had that were the same size but they didn't work either. I've tried various options such as mounting on the edge of the spout flange but this interferes with unscrewing the cap and unscrews the gasket instead. I also tried it on a removable lid without a die. I live in the country and have to…

Pros
  • this is amazing
Cons
  • the list will be long.

Exactly what the doctor ordered.

Nice to find these to keep my nice easy to use old time with a vent and no little things that make new containers useless or long lasting, containers work. Worked with both my Rubbermaid 5 gallon containers and God. They had 1-3/4" OD gaskets but were stretched enough to fit. Actually probably better since they're nice and tight now. They seem more durable than the original pads which were thinner and rounded. Seems to hold in place better and seal better with correct side angles.Time will tell

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • So so
