Only one of the three started but works as advertised. I tested it in my kitchen for about a week by taping it to a metal appliance door. The built-in magnet works, but not very strong. I bought them for cruise ships, especially inside cabins. These huts are pitch black. Getting up in the middle of the night puts your toes, knees, shins, and most other parts of your body at risk. This thing lights up as soon as you move and stays on for about 10-15 seconds after you stop moving. Easy to install

I bought these as emergency lights to have on hand in case of a power outage and also to put one on the front door in case I come home after dark and don't leave the house. Front light is on. They work very well. We put one in the bathroom where there is no outlet, just a ceiling lamp (old house) as a night light. Switches on reliably and has enough light for nightly visits. Doesn't look like the batteries will run out quickly, same 3 AAA batteries lasted 3 months and still work. Another was used in the lid of a tool box, a third in an unlit closet. Sensor is a little strange, not working quite as per the instructions. I use them in my basement in a small corner where the light doesn't penetrate very well. These lights will not flash when motion is detected, but will flash when thermal presence is detected.
