Everything about this step was worth the price. The instructions were fine but as usual I watched a YouTube video on how to install it which made it a lot easier. Installation took about 2 hours while lying on my back in the driveway. . You need to drill two holes. They provide a template for proper hole placement. I bought two of these for my 2018 GMC Sierra. The first one took about an hour to install. The second side (next day) took about 20 minutes. Very easy to install. Rivets require a 17/32 drill bit, which I didn't have. I used a size larger than half an inch and a masonry bit to open up the hole a bit. The instructions say to tighten the rivet nut to 20 ft-lbs. but they turned in the hole when the screw was tightened. I used a battery powered impact wrench to tighten them (not too tight like the…

I have a 2017 GMC Denali CrewCab with a 6 1/2" short deck. I have both a Bigfoot Slide-In Camper and a Fifth-Wheel RV (no, I don't use them at the same time.)
