I bought this for a 30 gallon Marineland Half Moon which I got for free because the light that came with it was twice the length of the tank haha. I was skeptical but man that's a great light! Just the right level of brightness (and that part is adjustable too) Highly recommend. Especially for the price! All the different colors look really cool and it was pretty easy to set up the timer.

Good, the light works, instructions for use seem to be translated from Chinese and difficult to understand. It is said to simply reach 100% brightness when the timer starts. Couldn't figure out how to fix it with the instruction manual. A comparable light that actually has this feature costs about $160.

I have three and will be purchasing more in due course. Lights are great for showcasing your tank. I got them because of the timer feature; And while you can find lights for less, the timer feature is worth it. The settings are not intuitive, so you have to read the instructions. But once installed it gives my aquarium sunrise, full daylight and sunset. Perfect for displaying my fish and growing plants. Set and forget. The standard mode of this light works (almost) immediately out of the box. Just set the current time and off you go. The problems start when you need a "custom" program. The instructions aren't clear at all and the buttons used for programming don't always respond in the same way. I have successfully created a new daylight schedule, but my "moonlight" is scheduled too early and is overriding my daylight schedule. I had no problem accessing the "Moonlight" controls twice. But now I can't get…

I've had this light for about six months and it has served its purpose. My plants have grown wonderfully. I have Pogo, Dwarf Camber, Shaft, Revane Swords, Christmas Moss, Javafarn, and Dwarf Baby Tears and they are all thriving. My only criticism is the timer. It's inconsistent. Some weeks it works great, turning on and off as programmed, and other weeks I come home and it's still working a few hours past the programmed off time. I usually have to turn it off and reprogram it when this happens.
