Andersen® Reachout Receiver Panel Present Review

This item is perfect for the Anderson sliding patio door. Since the old style is no longer in production, this was my only option. The instructions say you need to enlarge the groove in the frame to fit the lock plate, but in my case I didn't have to as the lock plate was still in place. Your results may vary. Closes nice and smooth. Very happy with the product and installation was a breeze.

We had a sliding door that was installed in 2005 and used an old latch with a pin on the strike plate and a metal button on the latch. This design was discontinued after about a year. This is an exact replacement for the part that broke on my door but if you had the same problem you can buy the part for 25 cents to replace your existing door latch to repair. (not sure what it's called) which is adjusted by the screw appears to be loose and won't tighten (your door is loose) then take out the existing one and look at the back of the adjusting screw. This worked great as a replacement for the lock and receiver on my patio doors. It was built in 1998 so it was the right kit to buy as the instructions say it is for doors made before 2005. I have a mid 1990's Anderson PS200 slider that I installed myself. The lock was worn out so I decided to replace it after getting the correct part number from Andersen. The parts came quickly and correctly from the Revain supplier. The latch on the door matched the swingarm I ordered perfectly.
