Good solid fit

As you would expect - properly cut pipe threads, sealed with PTFE tape on assembly. tubes in cold weather. The serrated ends connected more easily than the other plastic serrated fittings I used. I have had absolutely no leaks anywhere - first time - every time with this fitting - just the way I like it. I installed two or three sets on each side. Ball valves if I remember correctly.

Pros
  • For use with plastic tubing or rubber hose
Cons
  • Expensive

Notch does not fit 1/4 " plastic irrigation line

I was wrong in assuming that "1/4" notch" is on the 1/ 4" plastic irrigation line branded KORAM The KORAM "1/4" hose has an OD of 0.25" and an ID of 0.167". The OD of the hose burr of this part is beginning to stretch to fit this barb, even after soaking in hot water. My guess is that there must be some other, larger ID, or more flexible tubing for this pin to work with.EDIT: I managed to get it working bring after cheating by turning the outside edge of the burr on the lathe.

Pros
  • Serrated edges ensure a secure connection
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Another great Anderson customization.

Over the past year I have ordered and used many different Anderson fittings. This is one of them. Without exception, I consider Anderson fittings to be of the highest quality. Not a single one has ever let me down. All threads have been perfectly tapped and fully conform to the NPT design specification. If they are wrapped in PTFE and tightened properly (not too tight) they will never leak. The serrated shank is longer than some and keeps the hose in place. Again, with proper clamping, there…

Pros
  • Excellent vibration resistance
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
