5/32 to 1/2-Inch External Thread Repair Tool by Anglo American Review

I had a wrinkled thread on an old Stanley plane. There wasn't a matrix to help, so I was relieved to find this thing. Now the adjustment knob moves freely!

A great tool for starting in the middle of a thread and using good threads as a guide to repair a broken bolt or bolt tip. Great tool

This worked well on a steering column shaft that had the end knocked in. I could put this into a good thread and work all the way to the point where a regular matrix could be laid down and completed.

This gadget saved the grip. I picked up a project bike with a broken handle from someone trying to remove the flywheel. There was a crappy carving after grinding the mushroom part, I didn't want to risk it as it removes too much material, so I took this gadget. Just let the thread cleaner run back to the good side a few times and the nut finally caught on. He kept the crankshaft, which is also obsolete.
