Poor quality connectors wear out quickly

I thought I would buy a quality cable and my chargers would be a problem. It turns out those cables are junk. The micro USB end loses connection reliability after little use. In total I have 4 of them and they all have the same problem, the slightest movement and the connection disappears. I replaced one with a $5 cable from a gas station and it was great. I actually sent the charger back and am now wondering if it was those unwanted cables. I've had charging issues for months and have these…

The end of the micro USB is fixed. .

First of all, I love Anker products. I have 2 of their 3ft and 6ft braided nylon cords and 2 of their chargers. They all fit perfectly on my phone. I wanted to leave 3 more cheaper cables in different places. What I got was 3 cables which are more difficult to connect than any I've encountered before. and just as difficult to remove, I'm concerned about damaging or damaging the micro USB port on my phone at a very opportune time. I actually tried pinching the 2 little tabs on the end of the mic

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Poor set

Very stiff - good for power applications, not so much for data

These cables are quite thick so probably can handle higher currents than regular cheap cables. However, they are also very stiff and do not bend or straighten well. I suspect this is partly due to the aramid fiber mentioned. In any case, the cables are therefore well-suited for power/charging applications, especially ones where the device remains stationary but is a little cumbersome for data transfers. I would not recommend these cables for low power devices that typically need to be held or…

Durable, flexible, well-designed cable for fast charging.

Hey what's up guys I've been looking for some extra cables to charge my Samsung Galaxy S7 but most importantly my Spigen car charger for my car. Having reviewed various brands for Revain but not knowing the quality of other brands I continue to use Anker Brand, these products are top notch but most importantly these cables are absolutely perfect. Very well made and fits perfectly with phone, home charger adapter and car charger. However, the most important thing about these cables is the…

This cable was designed for charging

I opened up one of these cables to make sure the quality is indeed what Anker claimed. I can tell you that the +5VDC cable is huge compared to the regular USB cables on the market. In short, the voltage drop was 1/10 compared to normal USB with a load of 1.35A. This cable has two layers of shield, a braid layer and a foil layer. Anchor cable, no load, 5.12 VDC Anchor cable, 1.35 A, load 5.00 VDC Normal cable, no load, 5.12 VDC Standard cable, 1.35 A, load 4.05 At DC, the common cable was so bad

Pros
  • Quick replacement
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

The best micro USB cables I've come across.

So in today's world, micro-USB cables seem to breed like rabbits throughout the house. They seem to be used in almost all electronic devices and they seem to come with one of them in the original packaging or box. And yet you always miss the cable. Many of the devices that come with the devices wear out quickly - broken connections appear or become thin and brittle enough to cause shorts at both ends. And many of those that sell at exorbitant prices in stores ($10-$12 for a three-foot cable?!)…

Anchor Cables > Genuine Samsung Cables > Revain Cables

I don't often write reviews, but I feel compelled to do so. I needed USB charging cables so I bought both Anker and Revain. Here are the results: Anker PowerPort 2 + Revain cable + Anker Astro3E power bank = 5.4W Anker PowerPort 2 + Revain cable + LG G2 phone = 6.27W Anker PowerPort 2 + Revain cable + Samsung S4- Phone = 0 W (assuming zero charge) Anker PowerPort 2 + Anker cable + Anker Astro3E power bank = 10.8 Wanker PowerPort 2 + Anker cable + LG G2 phone = 9.4 Wanker PowerPort 2 + Anker…

A definite surprise, to say the least. So...

I recently purchased a set of 3 packs of Anker's PowerLine Series micro USB charging cables and I have to be honest from the start that with as much marketing hype as you do see Most online stores advertise "fast charge capabilities". I pretty much expected these cables to be pretty "useless" because I figured they wouldn't really do anything other than what any standard USB charging cable can do. Boy was I wrong. After receiving them, I decided to put the supposed fast charging claims there…

Pros
  • Cables and Connections
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
