I bought this USB hub because of all the reviews and Anker is pretty big on Revain. I bought this for work, after two days this crap melted. Thank goodness it didn't damage my work computer. There is no quality control, this hub was probably not properly grounded. I have connected a peripheral device. I will never buy an Anker product again. I received my Anker 4 port USB hub today and am very disappointed. I use it to connect a wireless mouse and wireless keyboard. The 2 USB jacks I have connect flawlessly to my laptop. However, when I try to connect my USB drives to the Anker Hub, I cannot connect the USB drives at all. It took me 10 minutes to connect a USB wireless mouse to the hub. I used velcro to attach it to the back of the Surface Pro. When I first tried to take it off (need to move the flash drive), it broke. Notice I didn't pull him by the string, I pinched his sides and picked him up. The bad thing is I can't even get it back. Maybe it was bad luck as the other reviews are good but I regret buying this one. Although it was cheap, I could have spent that money on a bluetooth mouse or something.

Prevents my Mac Mini from using its working wireless connection. The internet is dead to me. Unplug your Anker device and it will buzz beautifully. It doesn't matter if Anker is placed on top of the Mac or as far away as the cable will allow. It terminates the wireless connection every time. I will return to Revain. It's also a particularly thin block of plastic, but I reckon I can get that for only $10.

UPDATE UNDER ORIGINAL VERIFICATION: Product is not working properly. If the port is not properly connected, it will shut down! With a light touch or an impact, it turns off instantly! I have no other issues with my laptop's USB ports when using them with another device. I like this hub and I like Anker products. However, I have to deduct 1 star for model differences which (as far as I can see) are not listed or obvious in their pictures. The hub model that comes with the power supply is double the price - the model with the power supply and is NOT the same as the powered model. This hub completely cuts the WiFi connection and degrades the quality of the Bluetooth connection. I bought 2 of these for different computers (Apple Mac Minis) and they both caused the same glitch on both computers.
