Didn't work for me - network adapter

I downloaded the windows drivers from their website and installed them correctly. The device kept trying to connect and then disconnect. I searched the web for solutions. Tried running in compatibility mode, nothing changed. I noticed that the driver history for the device says it is "unported". I am using Windows 10 64 bit. All other drivers and firmware are up to date. I would not use this device if I am using Windows 10.

Product of the highest quality. Another winner from Anker.

Very nice looking lightweight adapter with great tiny bulbs (although nowhere in the brochure does it explain what they mean but you see red and green solid and blink blue when everything is working perfectly). Of course, the most important thing is that this adapter works properly. I use it with a Macbook Pro and it's flawless. Tests on an empty network (Ubiquity switch) with my file server showed a fairly constant speed of 114 MB/s with a peak speed of 117 MB/s when communicating with my file

Attention Mac users! the best of network adapters

If you have a Mac, you can skip this adapter. Even though the instructions say you don't need to download the Mac driver, you must do so or it won't work. The problem is, when I downloaded the driver from Anker's website, it wrecked my Mac's network - I couldn't connect to Wi-Fi or landline at all. I had to manually erase my computer and reinstall everything, factory reset. Luckily, I store all my documents in the cloud, so it wasn't a disaster, but it could be. I have bought Anker products…

Works out of the box on Android (8.0)!

Unbelievable, I connected this device to my Google Pixel 2 XL (Android 8.0) and started figuring out how to turn it on, set it up and such but nothing came up. After pausing for a few seconds and trying to figure out where to start, I realized it already works, right out of the box! All I did was plug it in and unplug other data connections and it worked flawlessly! I'm excited; This allows me to use my travel router in hotels by authenticating over ethernet, using my phone and cloning this…

Resets the connection with the slightest movement

Super fast with this connection. But I can't get it to stay connected to my Mac laptop. It slides out with the slightest movement. It slips out a bit, but that's enough to break the connection until I put it back in. The flickering activity light is annoying, but tape can fix that. I have no idea why anyone would want twinkling lights on an adapter. The constant light is at least useful for knowing at a glance when the adapter has been disconnected from your laptop. Given the low cost and high…

Won't work until you figure out how to do it yourself

Bought this in case I need a wired ethernet connection. Well I brought it today and it doesn't work on my Macbook Pro with Sierra (10.12.6). I downloaded the driver from the anchor website, installed it, rebooted, then connected to my network (wi-fi off) and still nothing. I opened the "System Network Settings" and there is no option to configure USB. Dead in the water! (I bought in 2017. Too bad I didn't test right away, so I can't trust Anker products.) [UPDATE - after a few minutes] I found…

Works with Chromebook. Excellent performance.

I never thought I would need one like this. Last weekend I was visiting a relative who was having problems with his router and wifi. I had to connect directly to hardware, but his laptop wasn't working (literally) and my Google Pixelbook only has WiFi. Since I have to return, I ordered this anchor adapter. And the bottom line is, it works great. I never doubt the quality of Anker products as I have used their portable batteries, cables and chargers with great success over the years. This USB to

READ: Mac Drivers REQUIRED - OS 10.13 driver is elsewhere

Mac owners beware: you MUST download the driver, although the meager manual says (a Mac doesn't need it) and if you do if If you are running OS 10.13, you cannot get it from the Anchor website. You will need to call tech support to get a link to the Realtek website where the driver download is located. Completely stupid, but at least after I loaded the driver, the adapter works now. In addition, after connecting to the device, there are three indicators that are not described in the manual and…

Anker is the brand you want. Mac users need a driver!

I have a 2018 MacBook Pro. Also, I have an amazing Fios internet plan that offers 1GB of wired speed in my house. I can sit and stream my internet over Wi-Fi, but I only get half the speed I pay for. So what I need is a way to connect my ethernet connection directly to my Macbook Pro. I have a bit of a disagreement with the choice of this Anker ethernet adapter. Choosing an adapter was easy, it's Anker. They are one of the most trusted electronic companies out there. I would choose an Anker…
