As others have said, this is a very good suitcase in all respects, with the exception of one annoying design flaw - the clasp is on the back of the case, where it tends to be difficult to disengage , to be worn out when the iPad is installed. Im impressed. Nice skin feel, good protection for the device. The only thing I would have preferred would be if the pen holder was on the right side for easy access when the tablet is resting in big enough slots.

This case arrived for my iPad mini 5 today. Red is real red. Nice. It fits my iPad mini 5 and Apple Pencil 1 perfectly. I really like that the magnetic closure is on the back of the case. I think this will help keep the front closed/latched and also magnetically latches with a glass screen protector installed (like the one I have). It's durable yet lightweight for full coverage. I was looking for a case that would protect my 5th generation iPad Mini! Has good sites for protection and goes very well with all functions! I ordered red which is close to the red tomato! So it's easy to find when I'm looking for it! I used to pay 2x more for another brand that broke the first time I dropped it! Has a sleep wake function and a kickstand function which I was looking for when watching movies! Nothing negative to say at the moment!

I bought it as a cover but wanted something with a decent stand. It's a beautiful cover and I love the materials - love the pen holder too. As a kickstand, though, this is true - the ribs on the case's kickstand are fairly small and seem to wear out fairly quickly. My iPad mini slides right past them at even the slightest angle. And when I want to put that on a separate stand, the lid is too bulky for it to sit properly. So I'll probably look for something else. Update - I ordered a finite case

I really like this bag. My kids have experienced quite a few things, like reaching for my iPad after a sticky snack or throwing it over a stair rail.
