🚰 APEC Water Systems Replacement Check Valve Review

Modified, 4th/5th ASO valve and filter Step. When filling the tank, the draining sound can still be heard. Update June 2020: This appears to be due to the cold snap causing the water pressure to drop. I don't know, but the noise is gone

Bought because our reverse osmosis system didn't come with a check valve (which is installed on the filtered water side of the membrane housing). It's a connection method, but unlike the others, it doesn't have small security clips. It works fine but you have to make sure you fully secure it with teflon tape. I installed it and it leaked a bit initially, but that was due to how deep the membrane's shell was and how deep I screwed it in. So it was my setup, not the product.

The first part shipped by Revain was cut onto a small zipped bag that APEC ships and a part fell out long before I believe as Revain mailed it to me, so I received an empty bag. Revain quickly resolved the issue within hours of emailing me and even paid for next day delivery of the replacement part. When the faucet was turned off I could hear the water running in my sink and it was the top, something was wrong. This part took 5 minutes to replace due to the quick connector. Full instructions…
