There is no quality control. Conflicts with modern motherboards.

The first one I got, I think it's DOA because it had a short in one of the wires. I had to bend the cables to check the power supply. I had to send the first one back and order a second one. The wires seem very stiff and I am wondering why they have failed or shorted. Virtually no quality control. The packaging is really tight for the application. Otherwise, I would recommend the work of the PSU for a budget fitment or replacing a store bought piece. EDIT: The second block I received was in the

Great value for money, works well.

After looking through the offers of SFX power supplies, I decided on the Apevia SFX-400W device, mainly because of the price (I built a cheap file server for media files). The PSU comes with the correct 4-pin/8-pin EPS 12V power connector and is properly connected to my ASUS B450M motherboard. Everything was installed in a Thermaltake Core G3 case and the power supply worked well/quietly for about 3 weeks without any problems. My only complaint is that this power supply does not appear to have…

Suspicious internals

So I don't have a huge problem with this power supply for the money. You plug it in and it works. The fan is a bit noisy, but no more than most PSUs I've had. Unlike the other reviewer, I had a 4+4 CPU power cable, so it worked fine. My problem is that I had two different motherboards with 1700x RAM and gskill trident RGB 3200 and I can't use the DOCP overclock setting on the motherboard and I can't get the overclock that the previous owner of this processor was able to get. As far as I know…

Works perfectly! Best in Computers and Accessories

So far, so good. It's a lot quieter than my previous PSU, not as quiet as I was hoping for but still a lot better. He makes very annoying noises. Since I've only had the warranty for a few months, I'll probably have to replace the fan myself. I think you get what you pay for. At least it still works, and as far as problems go, it's pretty easy to fix. I won't deduct a star as it has lasted over a year and technically still works the way it is, I just don't trust the fan anymore.

My NAS server is running fine.

I'm using this for a Ryzen 3600 server with an m.2 board, two mirrored 16TB hard drives, a 10GB optical NIC and a 2G graphics card. Handles the load well. The case came with two small fans. I plan to take it out and space the hard drives further apart and maybe add another fan next to it. Some heatsinks on hard drives would be nice too. The power adapter is bigger than I need. I could have gotten by with 300 watts, but that's right for the price, and a little more power is always nice.

A replacement that is quiet and runs smoothly. UPDATE 09/01/2020

Bought as an emergency replacement. It runs smoothly, very slight hum, but that's normal and I have great hearing. Now for the bad news, the bundle of cables that comes out is not that flexible and is quite rigid. It cannot be bent down to avoid hitting the back of the 5.25 inch drive. I would love to give it 5 stars but after plugging everything back in my DVD-RW drive stopped working and then saw the power light on it was off. So I know he chopped off the SATA power cable like I did and then…

Worked for 3 months then whined loud good warranty service

I bought this to replace an old broken power supply in my service PC which mainly controls my security cameras. It worked fine for a few months, then I decided to move the computer to a different location in my house. When I moved it and plugged the power adapter back in, it made a horrible moan. Before the failure it worked fine but was a bit louder than I would have liked. Update: After contacting the manufacturer, the defective power supply was replaced within 2 days free of charge for me. Great price, great support.

I bought this for a low/mid range system in a small form factor package and needed a cheap SFX unit. The first one I ordered had terrible coil whistling when switched off (5V standby) so it was very noticeable. I decided to contact customer service (Revain was out of stock so I couldn't replace it). They were very responsive and after I sent them some information (serial number and copy of invoice) they quickly sent a new one. I received it in 4 days and it works great on my i7 4790k and…
