- - ergonomic - compact - quiet - productive - Beautiful - probably picks up any monitors with any resolution and aspect ratio
- Excellent build quality (traditionally), one of the best displays on the market, power and battery life on par with the best Apple devices. The new M1 Pro chip simply vomits in specialized applications for working with graphics and video, leaving Intel to swallow the dust. Finally, a new adequate design code, avoiding sloping edges, the laptop has become more brutal and strict, as befits a professional tool. Quiet and cool, even under moderate load. For the first time in many years, together with Apple, I experienced a forgotten feeling of delight from the new device. + return of magsafe (Jesus Apple, thank you) + the return of the sd-card reader (God, Apple, thanks twice, I've been waiting for this)
- Black substrate under the keyboard: it is not entirely clear why. The solution in the color of the body (as it was done before) looked better and accumulated dust was less noticeable. Even the smallest particles of dirt and dust can be seen on black. Although the substrate itself remained anodized aluminum! When used, traces of the keys remain on the screen, it becomes noticeable after transportation in the closed position. But this is a sore of all the latest generations of macbooks. Apparently, the pursuit of the minimum thickness does not make it possible to make the height of the seal on the sides of the display larger.
- Some merit! Among them, I would like to highlight a few. 1. Screen, it's just a song! Vibrant juicy support for HDR and 120Hz. 2. Battery, I'm just shocked by the autonomy of this MacBook Pro M1 14
- Rather, it’s nitpicking, but it’s annoying that there is no USB-A connector on MacBooks, because they plugged in an HDMI port, they could also easily make one USB, it’s clear that there are dongles and adapters, but all the same I don’t want to carry additional accessories with me. !
- New Macbook
- Version for other countries, issued as Certify.
- The best macbook in the history of apple, gorgeous screen, performance and appearance
- This color has a chance to get scratches from any touch.
- - MagSafe is also in place with a detachable charging cable, at work I charge from Apple's 20 watt charger from the iPhone; - 3 USB-C/Thunderbolt 4 ports; - the presence of a card reader, only for the sake of it I have been waiting for this model for so many years; - HDMI port, no adapters needed - plug in a standard cable and you're ready for work or presentation (there could have been problems with adapters before); - the M1 Pro processor is efficient, but not as autonomous as the regular M1 (the autonomy of the M1 shocked me). - excellent sounding of the built-in laptop acoustics, I have not heard anything better in this form factor (the guys from work did not believe that a laptop could sound like that); - Touch ID fingerprint scanner - a very convenient solution, instead of entering a password (especially in public places); - the best keyboard, and if you take the Apple Keyboard 2/3 (they completely repeat the keyboard on the topcase) - no need to get used to the layout of the keys; - physical buttons, instead of the touchpad. - the screen is enlarged to 14 inches and slightly extended in height, and the OLED screen gives the maximum black - true color. - with all this, it remains as mobile as possible (Air, of course, is lighter and smaller). - close work of other devices in the Apple ecosystem - devices complement each other and expand the possibilities of use.
- - A very controversial decision with a black keyboard backing - now all the dust and dirt is very visible and looks unaesthetic (photo 2, after three weeks of use and wear). - The lid with the screen bends (the distance from the keys to the screen cover is scanty), which is why there are traces of the keys on the screen (specially attached photos to show how it is). - The third drawback follows from the second - there will be wear on the screen cover. At first, I didn’t worry about it, but now I wiped the screen to perfect condition and saw the wear of the coating. - Ergonomically very close location to each other of all ports, which causes inconvenience when disconnecting devices. If something is inserted into the nearest ports, then you can pull it out of the laptop only by lifting it from the side and taking the connector from above and below, and not on the sides. - When working with external HDDs, I have to wait each time for the disk to spin up, and the disk stops quite often, in my case - a Thunderbolt drive. - We can not say that there are no glitches - there are! But, the convenience and overall stability of the work still outweigh. Someone is comfortable with Windows - I don't mind, so you need to look at laptops from other companies. - An important point worth paying attention to is the ideology of choosing a configuration. It doesn’t work like this here - I bought it, and then I’ll add RAM and the volume of the SSD drive. It is worth taking care of this in advance. If earlier it was possible to buy a laptop from Apple and if you don’t like it within a month, turn it in, but now we don’t have such an opportunity. Therefore, it is worth paying close attention to this, once again!
- Nice build! Due to the narrow stripes along the edges of the screen - as a result, the 14th is even less than air13 (2022). No noise, no heat. Works properly.
- You can describe the achievements of Apple technology a lot. I sincerely respect their ecosystem and for me this is already the 4th macbook pro since 2022. But please pay attention to the photos. It's not finger fat. This is the worn paint after one month of use. ONE MONTH - Carl! I have a 2022 model and all the keys look like new on it. On the same one a month later there are already traces of wear. For me, it's a marriage of paint application. And how Apple decides - I will write below.
- 1) Excellent screen quality. miniLED is super technology. The Air on the M1 also has a good screen, but after purchasing an iPad Pro with miniLED technology, I was struck by the difference between the two technologies. As they say: everything is known in comparison. 2) Huge performance margin. 3) Gorgeous keyboard - Apple admitted its mistakes in past generations of MacBooks and abandoned the butterfly keyboard. And also a very convenient trackpad, which completely replaces the mouse (although I have one, I rarely use it. I also consider the removed Touch Bar to be the right decision by Apple. 4) A large set of built-in connectors - finally returned the SD-card slot, and also added HDMI. The connectors are located on both sides - which was so lacking in the Air on the M1. 5) Special thanks for the return of the Magsafe port for charging - this is very convenient in practice. 6) Very fast fingerprint scanner. I think that Face ID is not particularly needed in such a laptop. 7) Enlarged screen - up to 14.2 inches. 8) The aluminum Unibody case is one of the best Apple inventions in the history of the company)) 9) Very good sound quality. 10) Very long battery life despite increased power.
- 1) The weight of the laptop has grown. Yes, compared to the latest Air or the younger Pro models of 2022, it is heavier and bulkier, but on the other hand, you quickly get used to it, and the pluses that these additional 300g give are worth it. 2) Apple has not fully taken into account all the little things in terms of software. The bang itself is absolutely not annoying - in everyday use you simply don’t notice it - this hype was inflated by those who did not use this laptop for more or less a long time. But for example, when there are too many icons in the menu bar, those icons that were to the left simply disappear under the bangs and cannot be clicked in any way. In general, this does not spoil life much, a software bug, I hope it will be corrected with new ates. More, personally, I have no complaints about the laptop.
- - Good build as expected from apple - Best (non-LED) screen I've seen on a laptop - Excellent secondary components - speakers, microphone, webcam, trackpad - Can connect 2 monitors
- - Limited in terms of software - Almost no difference with M1 Air with the same configuration - Separate accelerators for processing honey in the processor, for which there is no choice not to pay if you never need them in your life
- - screen quality - OS, switched from Windows - much more convenient! - nimble, large projects normally turn over - quality of materials
- - I plugged in a USB flash drive with a USB adapter - the Internet fell off (I heard about this from other people. Well, cool, technology)
- 1) holds a charge perfectly - with my tasks it stretches out a working day (or almost) 2) amazing performance - any friezes and lags that I observed were exclusively software in nature 3) nice ated design 4) the best screen on the market 5) excellent sound (only 16" models are better) 6) (IMHO) finally removed the useless touchbar 7) very rarely heats up, almost always the laptop will be cold
- 1) if you were hoping that the soft edges in the ated design would not scratch - disappoint, they scratch, but perhaps it's not so noticeable
- Screen on mini-led. Black is really black. Appearance Ecosystem with Iphone 14PM Performance Silence at any of my load (intel nuc 11th generation on i5 already "takes off" in the browser) Mobility - the first personal laptop Track pad - set up, used to it, no mouse needed at all
- The sound is not very good, sometimes it seems like from a barrel No USB A Expensive
