I finally have the right RAM size for my mid 2010 iMac

The beauty of my iMac is that I can upgrade the RAM without much hassle. The bad news is that there is no information on how much RAM this iMac can use. I tried two 8GB sticks but IOS kept losing the pointer to the link stack. Now I've encountered the installed limitation of this hardware setting. Specifically, I have the following: 4 memory slots, each accommodating a 1333MHz DDR3 memory module, each RAM stick is 4GB for a total of 16GB RAM.

. started beeping and found the memory was on fire as in the picture

My iMac started beeping yesterday and found the memory was on fire as in the picture. This has been in use for a little over a year. I've never lost my memory in my entire life. It can be seen that the first chip burned out, and the second just started to burn out.

Pros
  • Looks good

Lasted 3 years internally

I had no problems with this RAM after installing it. Browser responsiveness (tabs opened from ATM) and apps seemed to have improved over 4GB. A memory module went bad and kept crashing my iMac after three years of light use. Acceptable quality for the seller's price but you can definitely find something more expensive but well made.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Only available in black

Immediately noticed an increase in speed.

Worked like a charm in my mom's 2011 iMac. We immediately noticed a significant increase in speed. Installing on an iMac seems complicated, but it's actually quite simple. At the bottom of the screen (where the ventilation holes are located) is a bezel that is held in place with three screws. A commercially available Phillips screwdriver is required. With the cover removed, use the tabs to release the existing memory modules (you may have to pull hard), and then slide them out. Then simply line

Pros
  • Not just useful for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Expensive

Item defective on arrival

I am changing my original review as circumstances have changed. Revain agreed to expedite my refund so I could redeem the reminder from the same seller. They also waived the one day shipping cost to ensure I would receive the new memory by tomorrow. I've changed the star rating from 2 to 3 stars and if the new memory I'm getting tomorrow really works I'll add another star. ****** The product arrived very quickly thanks to Prime shipping, however the box was much larger than real lamb sticks. I…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent

  • Nothing

Wow, I found the negative reviews like anomalies so I bought and installed the memory last night. As I said before, I'm trying to restore my system using Time Machine. After installing the memory, I booted up my system and my processing speed got faster. But then my system suddenly shut down. After restarting, the system turned off for the second time. On the third try I ran the system diagnostics through Yasu and then my system froze. I did a forced reboot and on boot up when the Apple logo…

I desperately needed that extra RAM.

My Mac was having problems freezing and it was taking a long time to process a simple web page. So I bought this and now it flies better. Not very good, since new operating systems come out from time to time, which require more and more memory. But I don't have to wait like 5 minutes for a webpage to load, and I don't have to wait for one of my PC games to load. almost aimless. The container faced the bottom of the box, and all the protective material pushed out the bottom of the box, exposing…

Pros
  • Good for many

  • Too long to wait

Renamed Micron RAM

I removed 4GB of RAM in my late 2011 15" MacBook Pro and replaced it with 8GB of that RAM. After that Firefox and Safari worked for 15 minutes until I then installed the new RAM removed and put the old one back in, the browser freeze problem was gone.I would like to return these sticks but due to delays in shipping to where I was then living (a small caribbean island) I was past the return deadline.Certified for the Working with Apple products I would leave the rating without stars but Revain…

NO Apple parts but works wonders on my MacBook Pro

While NOT Apple parts, they work very well in my MacBook Pro (Early 2011 17" model). SO costs $40. or something (plus a $25 gift card for my techie who installed it for me) to get my MBP back. Running Chrome and Word at the same time almost crashed it before installing. (Other things that helped: Turn off Siri - I didn't realize what a power guzzler she was - and turn off the "Open all when shut down/sleep open" option. Now my MBP is her normal faerie -Even.
