Efficient and Durable Dovetail Milling Cutter

Based on our own experience in the industrial and scientific sector, this dovetail milling cutter proved to be both efficient and durable. The cutter is of high quality and can be easily adjusted to create different types of dovetails. One of the key pros of this cutter is its ability to produce clean, precise cuts. However, it may require some initial practice to operate the cutter correctly. Overall, this is a great addition to our cutting tools!

Pros
  • Produces clean and precise dovetail cuts.
Cons
  • Requires a high level of skill and experience to operate effectively.

Terrible grinding noise, crumbled on first use

Grinding your teeth is terrible. Each had a large burr that needed to be removed. After correcting the grind, I attempted to cut a .05" deep dovetail in 6061 aluminum after clearing the .25 x .05 slot to minimize the amount of material moved by this cutter. It collapsed after punching 0.15 inch through the cut.

Pros
  • Cutting tools
Cons
  • New competitors emerged

The perfect profile for an ARCA slot.

I bought this cutter to extend an ARCA slot on an early MPA rifle chassis to the full length of the forearm. Worked great. to make light passes even if it was aluminum. I will definitely buy one with a large shaft if it breaks or wears out. But to make 2 ten inch aluminum passes. the price is worth it.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • No power
