Great replacement filters

I installed them and am very happy with my water and ice. My ice in my fridge goes through this system and it keeps my ice clean and beautiful. I would buy again.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Minor issues

Great value for money, same quality as the branded filter

Works just as well and lasts as long as the branded filter, but much cheaper. No weird taste. I can't tell what the difference is between this and a famous brand other than the price.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Appearance

Works well for proper under sink water treatment

Works well and lasts a long time - water quality does not deteriorate for 6 months. The municipal water here has a distinct flavor without being filtered and this is great for removing after a lifespan of 6 months and more.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Save, but at what cost? (Tip: Buy a GE OEM instead)

Thought they were worth a try because of the price difference, but even if they were free they would be overpriced. The flow rate immediately became as bad as if the old GE filters (which were clogged) were still there. The leaking water and ice cubes from the reverse osmosis line to the fridge had a noticeably bad taste. 2 days later I drove to a local store and paid a premium price for genuine GE filters. The system works fine again with them in the queue. This is a waste of time and money.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Tested with TDS & EC and PH meter

When tested with a TDS & EC meter and compared to tap water. Aquacrest filtered water was 220 and tap water was 200ppm. The pH of the tap water was 7.11 and the water filtered by Aquacrest was 8.28. It seems that the water passed through the Aquacrest filter was not good in terms of filtration. But TDS can't say which minerals it's sticking to. So maybe it keeps all the good minerals and only filters out a few bad ones. Since the TDS is actually higher than tap water, it is possible that it…
