Super bright does what it's supposed to do

This light works exactly as described cool and very bright great for plants. I've found my fish get stressed no matter how long I leave it on. I ended up covering half to give them a chance to escape. I also tried investigating a passive slow fade circuit, but after opening the junction box, it turned out that the DC output is 63V, so there's not much to do. If I just had plants and some bolder fish that would be great, but I guess I need to find something with dimmer and lower voltage.

  • lots of stuff

I don't usually do reviews, but this light deserves one!

I like this lamp very much. I have it in my standard 10 gallon (20 inch I think) tank and it lights up the entire tank way better than the crappy bulbs that came with my aquarium kit on the lid. I have a planted aquarium with shrimp. Now I can even see shrimp in the farthest corners and my plants are doing much better now. I wish there were multiple settings, either all on or all off. Night mode would be great. But for the price I can't complain! would recommend.

Please read the entire listing before purchasing.

First of all, you have to understand that this is not the best lightweight car money can buy. But. For the price it does its job very well. Please note that this flashlight is NOT WATERPROOF! It will short you out if you have an air stone or other splatter in the tank. I learned this the hard way because I don't like seeing the waterline unless I'm using a rimless tank. I was able to remove the end caps, dry them, and put them back together with no problems, except for the solder that came…

So good I ordered 3

These lights are great for the aquarium hobby, they are slim and not too bulky like other lights sold at most retail outlets. The full spectrum makes it easy to grow aquatic plants, the wattage is around 17-18 watts, I've ordered 2 x 18" and 1 x 12" models. The 12" model had a problem with the plug, but it was easy to replace and the new one worked. I've had this in both tanks for about 2 months now and I love that these lights aren't too bright for freshwater tanks but provide enough energy to

OK for a budget build. Bare bones.

Definitely a budget flashlight. I have other inexpensive flashlights that give much better light. It looks pretty decent in the picture, but that's because I'm adjusting the brightness settings on my camera. Personally, the green light overpowers other colors so I don't get the bright bright green that my other lights give me. It just looks blurry. In addition, there are only 2 settings, on and off. No brightness settings, no color settings, just bare bones. Again which I understand is that…

Clean simple and works cheap.

Direct on/off LED lamp, easy to use, continuously adjustable in width. The mount is absolutely silent. Until it buzzes, it doesn't flicker. The hue of the lighting seems perfect for the freshwater aquarium owner to "see the fish”. Reasonable prices were the main advantage. What I can't say is whether the lighting is intense enough to support the variety of living plants found in aquariums. After two months the floating duckweed in my tank was basically "dead" as this light was on 12 hours a…
