It was perfect for my homemade fountain!

I wanted this for a small DIY tabletop fountain and it was perfect! Certainly cheaper than others, and it just makes a low hum. I can't see it because of the water noise and would equate it to the quiet fan noise. I have attached a video for reference. In the video I see it with the smaller of the two fittings and the lowest setting. I didn't use tubes as it made the flow more focused and I wanted a smooth, bubbly sound, although that could easily have given more outflow.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

I have not tested the overall performance of the unit but I am currently using a 3/8" OD x 1/4" ID hose to add water to a 5 point aquaponic tank circulate . a system I built that delivers about 40 gallons per hour. The pump was fitted with 1/2" tubing and dispensed much more water than the 1" downspouts could handle BUT this is good news as far as the pump can perform when needed. I love this pump and would recommend it.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive

Vibrates like a jackhammer.

Maybe I'm being a bit harsh in giving this pump a star. It really moves water and has an adjustable flow rate. It's also fairly inexpensive. I put it in an aquarium and the vibrations and noises could be heard and felt. This thing rattles, and the vibration it produces was enough for me to feel while standing on the floor next to my aquarium stand. My poor fish totally panicked. Of course I will not use this pump in my aquarium. It might work fine in an open well or something made out of…

90gph pump better for small applications

Aquaneat 90gph Submersible Pump: I needed a replacement pump for my outdoor fountain and the only indication I had was the capacity of the old motor. The Aquaneat 90GPH submersible pump was the closest I could find (Aquaneat is rated at 3.5W, my old pump was 4W) and for $6 with free shipping there was literally no way you could go wrong here . The pump arrived quickly and was well packaged in a factory box with two interchangeable nipples for different hose sizes. My fountain uses a 1/2" hose…

Cheap scrap in water pumps

Scrap. Adjusting the flow doesn't do anything flashy, and at this point I think any notion that this can be adjusted is entirely fantasy. It looks like a diesel generator. It will definitely move water, but after 45 days there will be practically no flow on this thing. Should have been exchanged. This was a temporary measure to keep my swamp charge from interfering with my display, but I didn't expect to be replacing it any time soon. For context, I have 2 feet of stroke from the sump on a 3/4"

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Small pump that CAN

*** Update in 1 month *** I had high expectations and wanted to start off well. However, the pump suddenly stopped working. No noise, nothing, just dead. Of course, my return window closed 11 days ago, so I'm out of luck. The pump has always been submerged in at least 1 foot of water to avoid burning out. I would look elsewhere for something more durable. This pump wasn't even enough for a whole season. ***Original Review*** This pump is great value for money and perfect for my needs. We got a…
