Very comfortable for glasses

I love this helmet it's so comfortable! I will say it's quite noisy if you don't have a windshield on the bike, other than that it's a great good quality helmet and I have goggles so most helmets rip the guts out of my head when I put on goggles but this helmet leaves some space through goggle pads, in fact with this helmet my prescription glasses are usually worn and some wear sunglasses so this helmet is my favorite of all I have

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

The best ADV helmet on the market

This is the best ADV helmet on the market, typically Arai. Unfortunately I had to return mine, I usually wear a medium sized helmet and Arai usually wear large sizes so I ordered a small and couldn't get it on my head so I returned it for a medium which worked great at first but only after that for a few minutes i noticed i could shake my head and the helmet was moving and it was too big. Too bad for me, I really want this helmet, but I think I'm an advanced rider

Pros
  • Easy to fit
Cons
  • Available in white only

Okay, but there are downsides.

Love the ventilation and the overall design and the fact that it's not only DOT but also has a SNELL rating. I ordered a small and I would say it's big for a small. I would say between small and medium. It has one major downside. It has vent covers that need to be removed to clean, but they are very easy to accidentally open. Today I wanted to open (not remove) the vent and on the freeway it just flew away and was hit by a car behind me. I'm not happy with that. It's a damn expensive helmet. I…

Safety gear fit and comfort

I am an Arai helmet lover, I use signetQ and love it. I bought the XD4 because I started riding dual sport bikes. I ordered the same size as my seal which fits me perfectly. Now to XD4. Extremely impractical, especially when putting on and taking off, it has 2 ventilation holes that open with red latches. These tabs are terrible! I have scratches on my eyebrows from him, I screamed when I took my helmet off, they dug into my skin so hard. I removed the tabs and it made it a little bit better…

friend of adventurers.

As I transitioned from sport and sport bikes to adventure bikes, I was looking for a quality helmet that would fit my oval head shape, be true to size with my favorite ring lock belt buckle and most importantly, be fog free, quiet and delivers aerodynamic magic that eliminates headbutts behind the standard KTM 1190 or BMW R1250 GS windshield. At 5'5" this helmet offered a smooth ride with a sun blocking visor and a nice clear visor that rises and falls in any position on the go with no rumble…

Great cap for protective gear

First of all I have a liking for hi viz helmets and it's very hi viz almost glowing compared to my nolan, the finish and detail is great , and I can say unlike any other helmet I have had, this is my first Arai but not the last. Haven't ridden yet but have been wearing the hat around the house for 30 minutes and it fits me very well, it's the key to the helmet's happiness. FIT. and the best way to get it right is to go to a bike shop and try them on. I know a lot of people think this is some…

Always the Shoei type. til today.

I've always been a friend of Shoei's, I have a pair of RF1200's and some older models. Simply a good fit and good value for money. Was looking for a high visibility dual sport helmet for my dual sport bike. Shoei didn't have what I wanted. Arai XD4 - wow, ticks all the boxes. Light weight, better fit than even my RF1200, great ventilation and very little or no wind blows without a windbreak. With windscreen depends on your bike and the windscreen setting. The windshield on my other bike is set…

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Poor set

Once you've been to Arai, you'll never come back.

This is my second Arai helmet and the first of the XD series. Before that I had a Quantum 2 which has served me well for 6 accident-free years. After checking the lifespan of the helmets, I decided it was time to replace them and redeemed my credit card points. There is no doubt that this is an expensive helmet. It costs twice as much as most of its competitors. In my humble opinion (developed over 7 years and 40,000 miles of mixed surface riding) it's worth every penny. Read below if you need…
