You too can work at Dometic!

I bought this thinking it would fit my Dometic and I was right. Now I don't have to worry about the fork wobbling on dirt roads.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Really don't like it, everything is fine

THIS IS NOT A Cigarette Lighter Plug

This plug will not fit in APB fridges and has nothing to do with a cigarette lighter or a regular 12V socket outlet will do fine

Pros
  • A handy thing
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Great companion for the fridge.

Positive and negative terminal position. Not easy. Had to rummage around to see that I used red paint for the + mark back then. So 4 stars. Discuss mounting configuration options. Good product, we have two of these, one for each car.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Cord shorter than other picks

Can be mounted on a flat surface

It worked exactly what I needed. I don't think it's said anywhere, but you don't have to mount it as shown in the picture. You can simply remove the plug and mount it on the wall like a normal 12V cigarette lighter socket. Think of it like an ARB cigarette lighter plug in its own size.

Pros
  • Pleased
Cons
  • Protection

As expected: Replacement parts

I like that it can be connected from the battery with a larger cable so it gets good voltage. The picture shows 90 degree crimp connectors which are not included (at least mine). This would be the best option since the connector is close to the back of the case. Also works well with my ARB Zero Fridge Freezer.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Communication with seller

It's easy to skip topics.

Threads are not visible but the ARB cooling plug screws into this socket. On my first trip, the fridge went out thinking there was no thread. But the issues are there, so I won't have this problem anymore. However, be careful not to over-tighten as the outer hole in the housing is round and will not impede the rotation of the inner connector. The inner plug is round but has two flat faces that could have been used for attachment but were not used. There is also a plastic lock nut that holds the

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

Good quality outlet - cap too small

I bought this outlet for the same reason most people buy it: to make a more secure connection with an ARB fridge freezer. Since it's just good wiring sense, and since it's also recommended by the ARB, I ran 10 gauge wire from the battery to this connector. Unfortunately, the surface mount cap is too small (in my opinion) to fit a 10/12 gauge wire connector and cable into the cap at the back of the jack. You can probably get it to fit, but it's very tight and I've tried bending the connectorโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • No power

Goes perfectly with my ARB refrigerator

I didn't need a full ARB outlet installation with a million feet of cord, all I needed was an outlet. I already have a battery box in the back of my jeep for charging things when camping. It has a 12-volt outlet, but the included cord is just as inadequate as the Jeep's rear outlet wiring. Let me clear that up. The ARB fridge runs fine from the rear outlet when the jeep is running, but when it's off the rear outlet drops to 11.6 volts. The trick is that you have to set the ARB to LOW to turnโ€ฆ
