Stay Warm with Arctix Shredder Insulated Jacket for Boys' Clothing Review

This jacket was nothing short of perfect, especially for a boy whose favorite color is green. It feels really well made and very warm. But in general, the size is not the same. It's a bit tight and the arms are pretty tight. I don't think my son will wear it for long because he often complains about it. Usually our experience with this brand has been exceptional so I will still order from them.

I ordered it for my 7 year old. I recommend you actually measure your child as directed in the size chart, which is what I did. If I chose the small ones shown in the graphic it would be 8 or so, it probably wouldn't be big enough. All my kids have this jacket, I've bought several since then. It looks great and comes in a variety of colors. The only trick is that the sleeves have a gusset that allows the child to put their thumb through the hole, which prevents cold air from entering the coat. It's not bad, but it's difficult for a small child to put their hand through unaided. Despite this, these coats are very well made and warm.

We bought a 4t for our 2 year old which is taller and taller than average (skinny and tall but wide and muscular for a 2 year old and) I could barely pull the long sleeves on. It was so much work I don't think we'll wear this coat. It's cute, appears to be of pretty decent quality and feels warm, but not worth the hassle.

The coat itself looks great but they are SURELY not the colors on the list. The pattern shows blue and orange, but they were actually blue and purple. The coat is intended for skiing and has not yet been worn but I will report how it behaves after the trip.

Arctix manufactures high quality warm coats. This one is no exception. We weren't sure about the orange but my 10 year old loves it. This child is slightly above average height and the average (10-12 years old) gives him the opportunity to grow. Can't recommend this coat highly enough. Buy with complete confidence.

My child loves the jacket, it is very light and looks very nice. He loves the colors so much that he wears them every time he goes camping. It fits well and keeps him warm. Excellent quality product, I recommend it to everyone.

I would say that this jacket is a little tight and I'm sorry I didn't fit. It is very warm and offers him the same weather protection as a ski jacket. my son loves it
