Description of Arduino Vidor 4000 Controller Board

The best of the embedded world: a low power microcontroller to handle reprogramming, communication, and analog sensing, together with an FPGA to perform high speed computation, and a dual WiFi-BLE chipset for wireless communication. Mini HDMI output / MIPI camera input: can capture sound in real time, create a real-time computer reading sensor information, sending it to monitor or capture video, overlay sensor information on the image and send it to a screen. Ideal for: Industry 4.0, home automation, computer vision, aerospace, telecommunications. Part of the Arduino Maker Board Family for IoT Devices, easy to program with Arduino Software and Intel’s FPGA suite. Easy interface between the microcontroller and the FPGA at the software level.

Waste of Money best in my review

This board is only good for throwing money down the drain .It claims to be easy to program, but it's actually quite complicated. The pros of this board are the cool lights and compact size, but that's about it. The cons are that its overpriced and not user-friendly for those who aren't experts in computers. Save yourself the trouble and buy a different board..

Pros
  • The Arduino Vidor 4000 Controller Board is a powerful and versatile board that is capable of a wide range of applications including Internet of Things projects.
Cons
  • The board's complexity may make it challenging for beginners or those unfamiliar with coding and electronics to use.

Mixed results - not quite sure what purpose this board serves

It's too early for this board. Examples and resources are somewhat limited. If you want to work directly with the FPGA, you need to install and use Quartus in addition to the Arduino IDE and develop your own SPI code to make the FPGA communicate with the processor. The process of setting bitstreams is a bit complicated. The Arduino developers intend to provide pre-made templates that can be downloaded, but I haven't seen or used any of them yet. Although I learned a lot from working with the…
