This case is needed to keep the top of the Pi 4 open and accessible. Lots of problems: the 4 included screws don't fit/work anywhere (they slip right through the Pi and the case's mounting holes). I have no idea why they even bothered to include the screws or what they are for. Only two holes fit for mounting the Pi (again, choose the screws), I had two M3 screws and nuts and let them work on only one side of the Pi for an unstable mount. Argon ONE M.2 SATA expansion card arrived today, along with a new M.2 SATA card ( 256 gig) arrived I already had some Argon ONE cases which were hands down the best Raspberry Pi 4 cases out there so all I had to do was upgrade the base to have the SSD USB boot capability. I installed a new M.2 board in a new Argon SSD. Expansion Base and temporarily installed a Base/USB 3.0 jumper (no screws) and left my microSD in the Raspberry Pi 4 just to copy the OS to the new SSD. I used the SD Card Copier

First of all be careful when ordering this. The list is quite rubbish because it's not clear and makes it seem like you need to buy both the top and bottom. Very stylish design! The first thing to know is that you can use a USB-A extension cable that connects to the top of the U adapter and an M.2 enclosure that connects to the bottom. I jumped at the chance to get my hands on the ArgonONE case when I saw how it moved all the connections to one side and set the stage for my Raspberry Pi 4B+ into an amazing portable entertainment and gaming device into device center. The Raspberry Pi 4 brought an update that made it possible to boot from a USB device instead of just a microSD card, meaning the device can now have longer lifespans and faster boot/upload times.
