This item is a lot cheaper than Downy Unstoppables which is why I bought it. The smell is good (I like a clean smell) and being Arm and Hammer I assumed (wrongly) that baking soda would be added and would help. The scent doesn't last at all. I always try to find a pleasant scent that lasts on my clothes for days. I think my laundry room is full of laundry smell now. I wouldn't say it's so strong that people will smell you when you walk by (you know who you are) but you can definitely smell it if you sniff around the drawers/closet a lot.
