Thing does wonders for the plastic inside, it has a really nice shine. I use the original because I'm used to it. I know I should try their other products but this stuff really works for me. Apply to plastic surfaces and if there is any texture use a brush to 'rub' it into the texture then wipe off ALL the excess with a clean dry cloth and you have a nice clean finish , which repels future spills. and facilitates later cleaning. Can't tell what the overall effect is on the vinyl but my '90 Chevy K2500 looks like it's just detailed and I've been using this stuff for years and still no cracks. My truck has lived its life outdoors and the harsh sun here in the high desert is ruining all the vinyl...dashboard, console and doors.
