False advertising - not made in USA

Advertisement states this tool is made in the USA. But the packaging says Made in China. I was willing to pay a little more for a US made product, but now I'm going to return it and go for a tool with more features (which is also likely made in China).

Pros
  • Includes 25 1/8" rivets and 25 3/16" rivets
Cons
  • Fits

I liked my old rivet gun better

I would rate it higher if it had a trait that my old rivet gun had. In my old gun, once you put the rivet in, the mechanism held it in place. With this gun you have to put a little pressure on the handle to keep the rivet from falling out. cumbersome and annoying. I like that it is organized in a suitcase.

Pros
  • Features a comfortable vinyl grip, longer nose and spring loaded grips
Cons
  • Band

You need two hands. Not for limited space

This tool is good for small/simple jobs, but all but the smallest rivets require two hands. Large rivets also require a bit of force, which makes me wonder how long they will last. The rivets included in the kit are long size with two diameters. They are probably too long for sheet metal.

Pros
  • All-Metal Riveting Tool Set
Cons
  • Contact Seller

Good for light DIY projects.

Needed for a DIY project and works great. I've used more powerful units in industrial settings and they couldn't get the job done, but for light home use it's spot on. I used custom 18" rivets to attach the window screen to the 1/16" plastic rain barrel covers to keep leaves and other debris out. This unit did a great job.

Pros
  • Ideal for heating/cooling pipes, metalwork and gutters
Cons
  • Something's wrong

Looks like a high quality rivet gun.

I've only used this rivet gun twice to attach the windshield bag on my 2011 Harley Street Bob, but it worked great with the 3/16 aluminum rivets that came with the kit. I rarely have to use a rivet gun so it will be a long time before I can tell if this gun will hold up or not. But it worked as advertised for my small fix, so I'm happy with it. case is nice too.

Pros
  • Very Strong
Cons
  • So So

Easy to use, good for tools and equipment

This riveter works as intended. Simply insert the rivet bar into the tool, insert the rivet into the pre-drilled hole, and then squeeze the handles together. Open the handles and then slide the tool further down that shaft and then squeeze the handles back together. Repeat as many times as necessary. This requires some strength, so you may need to use two hands to squeeze it. Make sure the rivets are long enough to go through everything and beyond, otherwise you may need to put a small flat…

Pros
  • Heavy duty 100% steel construction
Cons
  • Safety
