    Just peasy good for auto and vehicle electronics

    They were perfect for my suburban speaker configuration. Depending on the type of speakers you have, you may need to cut off the tabs on their inner ring. Also, the wiring harness may vary slightly, it has a small tab on the side that may not fit your specific setup. I've attached a photo of it with a screwdriver pointing at it. I just cut it and it worked like a charm. I haven't really compared the prices but I'd say it's a win.

    Didn't work for me '05 Colorado

    Most of these items didn't work for my application. I have a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado Extended Cab. Installing and trimming the speaker adapter rings was wrong, so I just cut the Revain box into 20 o-rings and drilled new sheet metal screws through the speakers, into the box, and then into the door. improvise. However, the speaker adapters worked, but I had to cut off a small connector plug as the speakers I installed had large spades (Boss speakers).

    Worked great so well it showed a flaw in the GM wiring design

    Speaker adapter was OK. This made it easier to swap out bad old GM speakers for new ones. The cable adapters had a problem, the problem was that 10 years of GM connector corrosion didn't work well with the new cable adapters. I had to cut every GM connector and solder/butt every connection. GM connectors are so small that you can't clean them properly, so you can also use adapters to extend the speaker wiring.

    There is not enough material in the adapter to create tension between it and the speaker flange.

    The material is thin and soft, so it is very easy to install without being square. Once it is aligned, the four outer screws you will most likely be using do not have enough material to properly fasten the screw. There is also not enough room to use high-speed clips. Finally, the four screw slots aren't evenly spaced, so they don't work very well for drivers with concentric holes. Metra and Scosche were nowhere to be found, so I brought them in to get the job done quickly. Now it's fixed. The…

    Are they attached to the speaker of your choice?

    So I bought these and they fit perfectly in the door where the stock speaker is. However, they didn't match the speakers I bought with them. I bought 2 pairs of Alpine Type R 6.5. They don't tell you what speakers they can install. So it's sort of a "hope they fit" scenario. Needless to say I haven't used them. As a result, I had to use self-tapping screws to mount the speakers. All in all, depending on what size and brand of speakers you're using, I'm sure they can be installed just fine with…

    So when I first brought this to the car I was like oh no, this doesn't fit! But then after playing around with it a bit I found that it has tabs that can be broken. You don't have to cut them! All you have to do is take a pair of pliers and bend them and they will snap into place perfectly. I think that's what it's made for.
