Works great and just want, I wanted!

I've wanted a spider for a long time, I don't know why I didn't order it sooner. This is great for extracting dumplings/wantons from water, extracting fried foods from oil, etc. I went with the smaller size as I usually work with dumplings, but will be ordering the larger size for fried products so I have more than 2 can draw. 3 at once. Seems researched, easy to clean and I'm so glad I finally bought it.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

I bought a 5 " spider

I was hesitating between a 7" and a 5" spider. I'm glad I went for the 5" version. I usually cook pasta just for me and my husband, so I don't use a huge pot, I use a 4 liter pot. For a pot this size, a 5 inch spider is just perfect. Leave enough room to maneuver and scoop out any ghost pasta pieces. This spider is very nicely made. stronger than I expected.

Pros
  • Best in my niche

5 stars so far! best in kitchen and dining room

After seeing this in a canned video I found it here. For the price and use of Prime, I decided to give it a try for canning tomatoes. I've always used a very large slotted spoon, but that seemed like a good alternative for this and other veggies. I tried making salsa today and it worked great with very hot tomatoes! I've only used it once so I'll update it if the need arises. I'm sure I'll find other things to use it for. It's more of a bowl shape that helps hold the food in the spoon than my…

hold on man strain.

Up the game guys. How do you get fried or boiled food out of the pan? Hm? Tongs? Loud spoon? Do you carry the pot to the sink to drain the pasta? You are stupid. Did your mother teach you that? It's time. It's time to step out of the shadows of the past and tighten up like normal people. I use this thing to pull the pasta out of the water straight into the sauce. Boom. Puree? Take them out and I have a supply of starchy water for gravy or whatever. Boom. Fried foods are a must. Where have you…

Definitely one of the best kitchen tools I own, a wonderful invention!

This spider is one of the best kitchen tools I've ever had and if I could I would give it 10 stars. I used to see chefs on TV cooking with them and I caught a glimpse of the chef at a local Chinese restaurant who uses one a lot so I bought one and I just love it. I thought I would only use it to lift boiled eggs or broccoli but found myself using it for anything that needs lifting. I used to carry a pot of boiling water down the sink to drain the pasta/ziti, but now I just take out what I need…

This super spider is better than a skimmer

This is one of the most practical kitchen utensils. I use it to lift anything out of liquid on the stovetop or in a deep fryer: boiled eggs, hash browns, fried fish, french fries, tofu, small noodles (like farfalle), and even tea bags when making a gallon of iced tea. Bamboo The handle is 10" long, angled towards the basket and firmly attached so it is safe to use with hot liquids. The wire basket has larger holes than a strainer or skimmer so it empties immediately. I have a 5 inch spreader…
