It's so quiet you have to watch out for pumping. I love this little guy. I wanted more movement in my large aquarium and this pump/rock does it perfectly. I've had it for over a year now and it's still pumping, as quiet as the day it arrived.

I use it to aerate my 30 liter tank. It's been up and running for a year now and works fine. The bubbles are still coming out of the included stone and they keep the water moving in my aquarium very well. My tank is on the edge of my living room and I only hear the pump at night when all else is quiet. My Aqueon filter, which also runs on this tank, is much louder. I bought two YDQB4112 to run them in parallel to increase air volume. I used the included double sided suction cups to stick them together and then glued the stack to the tank. Currently with an Eheim 8599 air diffuser, 10 gallon tank. Even with both pumps running and within two feet of each other, the bubbles in the tank are louder than both pumps combined.
