don't buy defective.

I received the product and it is defective, it does not boot, no signal when connected to HDMI. Tried prototyping, I took it to a tech to check, it still doesn't work and they say it's really buggy. I wouldn't recommend it if this was my first gaming desktop build, so I'm disappointed in the time wasted on this product.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Empty

Use it for GPU mining rig

MB budget for cryptocurrency mining. I was a bit clumsy at first. If you are using multiple GPUs, it is recommended to connect the first GPU riser (which you will be using as a display) to the first 16-pin PCIE slot, and then connect the second GPU riser to the second PCIE slot. Then plug the remaining GPU sockets into the smaller PCI slots. I have no idea why it didn't work otherwise. This was my first GPU build.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Nothing

If you feel risky, at least buy a protection plan with this one.

Fragile construction, wobbles when you connect the lightest cable to the board itself. The motherboard was causing one of my 6 cores to idle at 98% load and the tech warned me that if it kept running it could permanently damage my processor. I was instructed to do a BIOS update and I ran it to T. I ended up being a brick and THANKS I bought a protection plan to upgrade to MSI for the same price and MUCH better specs.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Great motherboard

works great with Ryzen 5 2600x and (2x8GB) 16GB Crucial Balistix Sport LT 2400MHz (SR) Most of the BIOS settings were already where I wanted them to be, the only thing What I needed was to disable the onboard audio and COM port and set the correct boot order for the optical drive and OS disk. One thing I ran into was that one of my SSDs wasn't running at the correct speed because the SATA 3 and 4 ports share the speed of the bottom M2 slot. So if your SSD is not working, just move it to another

Pros

  • So far so good

Great value for money

Perfect B450 motherboard in my honest opinion. Couldn't be happier. I knew I would switch to ASRock from them thanks to my previous FM2 motherboard. UEFI was my favorite part and now it's 100x better and full of features. Also one of the easiest to update. I absolutely recommend this motherboard to anyone who doesn't need heavy overclocking. I don't want to discredit ASRock, but the B450 chipset is just below the X470 in terms of overclocking and VRM. If I needed it I would still buy one of the

Works great as a base for my rack NAS

I have decided to use this board and a Ryzen 1700 as the base for my 4U rack NAS. It supports ECC DDR4 memory and that was important for this application. It can be difficult to find ECC memory in QVL for this board, but searching online forums will give you some additional options that will work as well. I use a pair of Samsung 8x2s and they work great with this board and a Ryzen 1700. Everything worked on the first boot and I had no problems with a PCIe x1 SATA controller card, a PCIe x4 NIC,

Good motherboard

One of the most important things about a motherboard is that the manual has clear instructions on how to install the board. A printed copy of the quick installation guide is included in the motherboard box and is very helpful for the installation. Once you have installed the board and made all connections, the quick setup guide is complete. All BIOS settings and device driver installation information are not included in the Quick Install Guide. The user manual can be found on the supplied…

Great value for internal components

I paid $89+tax for this motherboard on 07/2020 and so far so good. I paired it with a Ryzen 3600, 16GB Crucial 3200MHz RAM and a 256GB Silicon Valley NVMe. For me it was an upgrade, not a new build; since I already had a GTX 970, power supply, case, CD-Rom and hard drives. I paid $390 for new items including taxes. What an upgrade. I've never owned ASRock products, but I've heard of them. My motherboard box had a sticker that said "Ryzen 3000 Series Ready" and I didn't need to flash the BIOS…
