A really necessary purchase, glad I found this product.

With its pros. Small, on a fresh B550 chipset. All the main advantages of the fresh B550, without fanaticism and supergaming bells and whistles. Cons: Doesn't have overclocking potential, but I don't need it. It has a number of simplifications that are not critical for a simple user, even with an eye to upgrade.

Will not work with factory 5600G

I bought this to pair with a new 5600G for my HTPC and decided if a BIOS -Update is required, I've already decided I'd have a Ryzen 3200 that I could pull from another system for a minute. It turns out that for some reason you need a specific type of AM4 chip and the 3200 doesn't fit. So 2 computers apart, lots of time and wasted thermal paste, and now I'm researching again which MoBo can support 5600G out of the box. Very annoying because there are probably a lot of people who don't even have…

Pros
  • Supports 3rd gen AMD AM4 Ryzen processors / upcoming AMD Ryzen processors
Cons
  • Almost never

Asrock B550 board works as it should, great. I have no problems with the board and it's set up. It's not the best gaming board like the 570, but it just works. What I am thankful for is Amazon and Asrock tech support. I couldn't get my board firsthand, couldn't get it to work no matter what I tried (I've been building my own computer for over 20 years). I contacted Revain and they told me about a few possible fixes that didn't work. Revane fixed the board with no problems. I had a few issues…

  • Graphics output options: HDMI, DVI-D, D-Sub
Cons
  • Long wait

This is a 5 star board for what it is, basic and high quality. Chipset B550, check. PCI-e4? Check. M.2 NVME? Check. Basic overclocking features? Check. AsRock (ASUS) quality? Check. Good price? Check the validation. I rated it 3 stars because only 2 dimming slots, only one m.2 NVME, only one full-height PCI-e slot, no RGB, no WiFi, minimal built-in fan connectors in not the best spots, less than for double the price, you can get all of this in the AsRock B550M Steel Legend, which is still a…
