💪 ASRock B550M-HDV: Supporting 3rd Gen AMD AM4 Ryzen & Future Ryzen Processors Review

With its pros. Small, on a fresh B550 chipset. All the main advantages of the fresh B550, without fanaticism and supergaming bells and whistles. Cons: Doesn't have overclocking potential, but I don't need it. It has a number of simplifications that are not critical for a simple user, even with an eye to upgrade.

I bought this to pair with a new 5600G for my HTPC and decided if a BIOS -Update is required, I've already decided I'd have a Ryzen 3200 that I could pull from another system for a minute. It turns out that for some reason you need a specific type of AM4 chip and the 3200 doesn't fit. Asrock B550 board works as it should, great. I have no problems with the board and it's set up. It's not the best gaming board like the 570, but it just works. This is a 5 star board for what it is, basic and high quality. Chipset B550, check. PCI-e4? Check. M.2 NVME? Check. Basic overclocking features? Check. AsRock (ASUS) quality? Check. Good price? Check the validation.
