I ordered one of those cheap SWR modules. When it arrived, the bottom button under the chassis was pressed. Revane sent me another squad. The bottom button was also damaged on the new device, but not as badly; the slide knob was loose and had no tension. I tried to use the device but could not set the starting point for the SWR test. Purchased as a field strength meter, not a built in SWR or power meter. It works great with a pair of daisy chain wires as an antenna on 6m and also on HF. No complaints. This is NOT a test fixture and I have no idea how much power it will handle. I didn't connect anything to the coax ports at all. I removed the included antenna from the square mounting nut and used clamp wires to increase the length and it worked great for its purpose (tuning high power amplifiers for maximum power).

This would be a nice little device for real time monitoring of a broadcast CB or RF signal. However, the wattmeter reading on the device I received is much lower than it really is. The SWR function seems decent but the power is very unreliable for accuracy. These are both 10w and 100w ranges. So if you need to adjust the peak power of the radio this will help, but you don't know the exact output power. I found that one of the side bushings was loose, so I pinched it with pliers. I found the SWR to be good for my HF setup and was close to what my antenna tuner was putting out. The wattmeter was off A LOT - binding the meter when running at full power. I opened the case and noticed that the trims for the power meter were all set to the same value (hmmm). I bought this for use in a mobile RF setup. This works for the most part, but the SWR meter on the right "jams" when the needle swerves to the left past 0 when removing the key, and I have to press on the box to pull it off and bring it back to 0 .
