Internal manufacturing overview

Bent and loose RGB connectors (45 degree angle to CPU), a product at this price point should be flawless. Not so with Asus. Stay away at all costs; rzunimag. Check out the hardforum, not just me.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • No mold required

Great: no chipset fan! :) Pros: Lots of fan controls with good BIOS settings. Cons: Only two M.2 slots. Cons: The A-RGB (Aura Creator) software is absolutely terrible. Worse still, I can't convince the motherboard to show the CPU temperature on the Q-CODE display. Worst: Compared to my old ASUS ROG Strix Z370-E Gaming, the USB ports feel terribly unstable. I have to periodically reconnect my mouse and keyboard as they randomly lose functionality.

Pros
  • So far so good
Cons
  • Not all good

Good motherboard for AMD build

Probably the best X570 MB you can find on the market today. While it doesn't include as many fashion accessories as top-end products from other brands, it doesn't fall short in terms of functionality and quality. What pleases me the most is how this MB can run stably on 4xDIMM XMP without any hangs or crashes. A very impressive achievement. Meanwhile, Asus has also maintained quality BIOS and software support. As advertised, I believe this will be the last MB from AMD I will need to build this…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Not sure

Expensive board, well made, unusually cool connector

First off, this board is NOT cheap, $450 plus tax, it's near the top of AMD's price spectrum. I've used both evga and ROG boards on all my builds for the past 20 years and have always been happy with both. I chose ROG this time because evga doesn't make AMD boards yet. My new build will start out with 5950x and 32GB RAM, 3070 ti and use my full Evga tower. The hardware on the board is great and I appreciate that there are no cooling fans on the board. The only thing I don't like is the process…

Pros
  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Protection

There are motherboards with better features or better value for money. (looking at you Gigabyte) I'll be honest and say I'm too clingy now to Asus who have been building computers as an enthusiast for over 20 years. I've had fewer issues or unexpected issues with Asus, which is worth the premium price at this point in my life. There are other brands with better paper specs or better value for money but I actually use Asus for my builds because I know they will work exactly the way I want them…

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Some issues
