💿 Asus DRW-24F1ST/BLK/B/GEN DVD Writer Optical Drive Review

Offering an objective review.Its pros: Technically no problem. The plastic doesn't smell. Some cons: When the computer is turned on, the drive makes a sound.

Ordinary sit. After NEK it is rustic, but for this money it is good. There is one moment. I often connect and disconnect the drive, when disconnecting the SATA power pins, the board "walks" back and forth. But it's been working fine for two weeks now. Recorded about 10 discs, everything is fine. The speed is good, no crashes.

the thing is good, and the price is excellent, but is it really now that someone is buying more drives? This is incomprehensible, I took it more than a year and a half ago . so it still made sense. This DVD drive is NOT as shown. Tray. (IE NOT BLACK and NO ASUS LOGO on the front). Now I have a feeling the BLACK in the part number means WHOLESALE.

Packaging wasn't impressive, just a plain brown box. Pretty easy installation if you've never done this, nothing to expect, it's new, it's a power cable, a SATA cable and a few screws. My dad's old drive broke, bought it as a replacement and worked like a charm.

Factory drive belt lost in a move. I already have a retail ASUS that works fine. It wasn't hard to get another ASUS for this price. Snap lock so installation was easy. I don't care about a face without logos.

Works a bit slow but seems to get the job done. At this price I can't complain. Looks good on my rack pc, mostly outside anyway, but the one I got seems to go well with the black theme. Perhaps the manufacturer solved the problem with the color of the bezel. Comes with demo software that allows you to burn data to CDs, DVDs, and Blue Rays.
