overall very happy with purchase

I bought this Asus Vivobook as my new business laptop and wanted a reliable and lightweight travel laptop. It has everything I was looking for: good battery life, a matte screen, fast processing, quality speakers, and even a beautiful exterior design that stands out from the rest. So I'm happy with the purchase so far. There's only one thing that I'm a little disappointed with: the screen is so dimly lit that I use it at 90-100 percent brightness all the time. I usually set my computers toโ€ฆ

Great laptop, the best of the traditional laptops

A bit pricey for what you get but the laptop is solid. Thanks to the metal case. The keyboard is nice and responsive. It's good to have a numeric keypad in a compact laptop. The monitor is sharp and colors are decent, but the lack of a touchscreen is a bummer, especially when you're paying $700. All in all, this is a great laptop for everyday photo editing, word processing, and light gaming.

Goodbye Surface Products

I've been using the Surface Pro 3 and 4 for 10 years. It beats it on every level and the Intel i5 Gen 11 could beat some i7s this year. So it was fun moving keyboards from device to device (4 times) but I've endured enough and I can honestly say that at this price point (and the fact that Half-Life 2 runs flawlessly on it) it's possible , I won not to return to this ecosystem. USB C and optional USB 3 are a nice touch, I appreciate that kind of forethought. ASUS had TSTT together when they made

Lightweight, Thunderbolt 4 port, good price

I am very happy with my laptop. It's thin, light, and turns on in about 15 seconds. I was pleasantly surprised to see a Thunderbolt 4 port not advertised here in the specs for this version with the i5-1135G7 processor. The battery level can also be adjusted if you plan on keeping your laptop plugged in while using it. There's also a blue light blocking feature that you can customize to your liking.

Great little machine suitable for computers and accessories

I miss the touchscreen or 10 button number pad but I knew I had to make those sacrifices when I bought this laptop. The only real "negatives" are that when you wake it up from sleep/hibernation, it's fairly slow to reconnect to apps that have been used, and some basic functions like screen brightness suddenly stop working until updates be downloaded. I like the looks and portability and the screen quality is excellent. I mainly use it for basic web browsing and streaming, so it's perfect forโ€ฆ

good for home use - annoying keyboard

I bought this laptop for work, I usually use the Lenovo brand, but I chose this Asus laptop because I like the features and the design favor. When I receive the laptop it looks great, looks good, the screen is fine and works fast. But the first disappointment was that there is no option to upgrade the RAM, so I feel this laptop is for home/primary use. The second disappointment was that the letters on the keyboard were difficult to see, the bottom color and shape color of the letters are tooโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Thoughts after 5 days of possession

I bought this machine as a portable home server. Its whole function is to run my automation programs 24/7. So how I use it is probably very different from how the average consumer uses it. That being said, as mentioned, here are the pros and cons I've come across so far. Pros: - Thunderbolt 4 - Compact and lightweight - 11th gen Intel i5 - New Iris Pro graphics - Slight beveling of the screen - Fast charging - Upgradeable RAM and M.2 - Loads insanely fast (1.8 seconds) - Very fast Trackpadโ€ฆ

Cons
  • The list is getting long.

Arrived very quickly; exactly what I need for remote work

I needed a replacement for my remote work because of the mandatory return of equipment. I was looking for something portable (screen smaller than 15 inches), lightweight, yet able to seamlessly make video calls while multitasking in the background. I've been working remotely on this laptop for a week now and it's been perfect. Is the typing feeling really fun too?
